The
young Burkinabe media activist, Cyrille Guel, has won the African youth prize launched
in 2014 by the Ghanaian, Akpah Prince. The prize rewards initiatives by young
people in Africa that have impacts on the development of the continent.
The
works of Cyrille Guel were appreciated in the communication jobs category where
he won the Media Excellence Award.
According
to the Burkina24
site, a documentary called “The
African engine as empowerment strategies of the economic and human development
of Africa” will be available on YouTube and television channels
worldwide with the aim of promoting the works of Cyrille Guel.
Mr. Guel is a member of the
Steering Committee of the Pan-African Alliance on Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL), an independent
alliance among the different organizations and individuals that are working on
Media and Information Literacy across the African continent.
