Runcie C.W. Chidebe, Founder of Project PINK BLUE, says
“More people die of cancer in Nigeria because they lack access to accurate
cancer information and affordable screening services. More painfully, some
people seek for healthcare at late/advanced stages of cancer, where only
palliative care can be given; despite that some of these cancers are 100%
preventable, but many people are not aware of it. I want to urge every one of
us to come out and take action on the World Cancer Day 2015 and let’s all
show the world that cancer is simply not beyond us”.
The 2015 World Cancer Day campaign is articulated around
four key areas of focus:
Choosing healthy lives
Delivering early detection
Achieving treatment for all
Maximising quality of life
