APC youths welcome G-5 Governors defection

This country’s democracy is young and like metal in its formative stage, it will take quite some time to solidify. Until then, there will be movements across board; movements which will bring people of like minds together while ideologies are formed and until a state of equilibrium is attained. Right now, this is the stage where Nigerian democracy is.

The decision of five governors and several representatives and other politicians of repute to join the APC is a highly commendable one, and we in the All Progressives Youth Forum (APYF) are especially glad because we believe that this signifies the beginning of the process of ensuring that the political landscape in Nigeria becomes more vibrant.

To this end, we would like to heartily welcome these individuals of repute into the party for the future. Here, these governors will find colleagues who are renowned for delivering the dividends of democracy and putting their people first; here, they will find party elders who seek not to control and overshadow, but to chart the way forward for a better Nigeria which we can all lay claim to and be proud of. Here they will find youths who are willing to work with them at every step of the way to redefine our future and save our country.

We urge more to join the progressives and help us build a political environment conducive for true patriotism in the APC.
